A Prayer

We praise Thee, O God,

                        with the glad hallelujahs

                                                of Easter.

 

In flowers that speak

                        of Thy purity and our joy . . .

 

In joyous songs that ring out

                        the wondrous story . . .

 

In the words of Holy Scripture

                        heard a thousand times

                                                yet ever new . . .

 

May we lay before Thee

                        our tribute of rejoicing.     

 

In His name we pray.

                                                Amen.
