Righteous Families

Te Lord Jesus has taught us quite clearly that anyone who loves mother or father, son or daughter, more than he or she loves Christ is not worthy of Him. But for most of us, following the Lord means not loving our families less than we do presently, but placing that love in its proper perspective, encompassed, surrounded, and empowered by the greatest of all loves, our love for the One who gives us—and our families—life itself. For those who love the Lord, few joys are greater than to be used as His instruments not only in the physical birth of our sons and daughters, but also in their spiritual birth and nurturing. For a man or woman to bow before the Lord of all and to praise Him, what a privilege. But what a magnified privilege to bow before Him with families united in His love. This month we are pleased to share the words and insights of our Consulting Editor, minister and marriage & family therapist Dr. David Langford, as he points us to the characteristics of “Righteous Families.”
